Shannon Dermott

Okay, I’m gushing this week!! Shannon Dermott is an author whose books I adore (love, obsess over, cannot get enough of – you get the idea, right?) and she agreed to stop by for an interview today.  She’s written Beg for Mercy and Waiting on Mercy – both are awesome!! If you haven’t checked them out, you need to - I couldn't put either of them down!

1.      What do you look for in the books you read?
Shannon Dermott
I look for a really interesting plotline that’s not going to make me want to put the book down once I start reading.

2.      Who is your favorite author? Favorite book?

I have a lot of authors that I love.  I couldn’t possibly name them all.  But I must say that I really did love Meeting Destiny written by you and I truly mean that.  Off the top of my head, some of my other favorites are Charlotte Abel, Shelly Crane, Rachael Wade, H.D. Gordon, Amos Cassidy, David Estes, Christie Rich, David Ferraro, and Krystle Jones.

3.      What is the best part about being an author?

The best part is when a reader really loves the story you’ve written and takes that time to write and tell you.

4.      What is the worst part about being an author?

Not having enough time in the day to write.  Especially when your creative juices are flowing.

5.      What do you want others to know about you?

My love for reading conflicts with my time for writing.

6.      What is the last book you read?

I think it was Defiance by Shelly Crane.  I’m looking forward to reading Blood Debt.  The cover is really enticing.

7.      Where do you see yourself in 1, 5 and 10 years?

It would be really great to write full-time in one, five or even ten years from now.

8.      Who is your favorite Book Blogger?

There are some really great bloggers out there.  I couldn’t possibly name just one; I’m sure I forgot someone and I apologize in advance.

9.      What project are you working on now?

I’m working on a number of projects now.  The one that I will be releasing soon would be Remember.

10.  If you could meet anyone (alive or dead) at Starbucks for a cup of White Mocha Latte, who would it be?

Oh, this is a tough question.  I sat thinking for a while and there are just too many people I can’t possibly pick one.  Maybe Stephen King if I had to choose.

Shannon - thanks so much for letting me interview you! I know I'm speaking for the masses when I say, I can't wait to read Remember!!
