I'm almost giddy to have Charlotte on my blog today! She's the author of the Channie Series: Enchantment (Book 1) & Taken (Book 2) - a series that anyone who knows me - knows I'm in love with!! Reviews of her books are available on my review page and they are both HIGHLY RECOMMENDED reading!!
1. What do you look for in the
books you
read?
I am a sucker for a sweet romance with an HEA. Of course, I expect some tension and drama before they can get to that place but I can't help but look for the happy ending.
2a. Who is your favorite author?
I have to pick just one? Gah! That's like asking which of my children I love most. I narrowed it down to my top ten (in no particular order): Orson Scott Card, Shelly Crane, Nancy Straight, Ann Charles, Shannon Dermott, Tammara Webber, Abby Glines, Amy Bartol, J.K. Rowling and Suzanne Collins.
2b. Favorite book?
Whatever un-put-downable PNR I'm currently reading, which at the moment is "Blood Debt" by Nancy Straight ;-) and "Indebted" by Amy Bartol.
3. What is the best part about being an author?
Being totally immersed in worlds where magic is real and love can overcome any obstacle. I love spending months with characters I adore. (I'm currently in love with Jonathan McKnight from my WIP "River Run")
4. What is the worst part about being an author?
The anxiety of not knowing if people will like whatever book I'm currently writing. It doesn't matter if my editor loves it or that twenty beta-readers think its the next breakout novel, I still sweat bullets before hitting that "publish now" button on Amazon.
5. What do you want others to know about you?
That I love hearing from readers. A good review, an email message telling me they love one of my characters or even a short tweet on Twitter asking when the next book is coming can make my entire day.
6. What is the last book you read?
The last book I finished was "Easy" by Tammara Webber. I LOVED it!
7. Where do you see yourself in 1, 5 and 10 years?
Writing, writing and writing. I'd also love to see one of my stories produced as an indie film.
8. Who is your favorite Book Blogger?
Again, a very difficult choice. I find a lot great book recommendations at Twimom 101's blog.
9. What project are you working on now?
Book one of a new series about a physically and emotionally scarred young man who falls in love with a member of dangerous cult after she kidnaps him.
10. If you could meet anyone (alive or dead) at Starbucks for a cup of White Mocha Latte, who would it be?
Right now? At this very moment? My publicist, Kris Kendall. She knows how to encourage me and kick my ass at the same time.

Charlotte - thanks so much for letting me interview you today!! I am honored to have made your top ten list and believe me - you're on mine, too! I can't wait to read your new book RIVER RUN, but you totally need to write faster as I'm going through "Channie Withdrawals" after TAKEN!! Much love - Nancy

Oh my gosh I am honored. Love all those answers. I have Easy. But finding time to read a bk just for me is next to impossible.
